Just the other day a friend brought up the topic of marriage. See, the topic would have been just fine… if she hadn’t been so ultra-idealistic about it. Nooooooooooooo. She just had to dump the whole fluffy bunnies, rainbows and butterflies, sugar and spice, sweets and chocolates, azure blue oceans and clear skies, life-is-so-perfect, “What A Wonderful World” batshit on my ass, managing it all in less than 5 minutes flat.
The Opposition parties have finally managed to rip out the red carpet from under the talons of the ‘ruling’ party, who’ve been holding on to it so firmly, and comfortably, for many past consecutive terms. And, if my shallow knowledge of Malaysian history does not fail me at this point, I believe that this is quite unprecedented.
My… ‘anger’, you see, stems from the fact that when I was her age, my fellow students and I had no such reading supplements to help make a breeze of history lessons… We didn’t even have pictures. (Cue gasps of horror, yours preferably.)
For example, when I go about places where there are friends or acquaintances, and I happen upon them, and flash a friendly smile or a “Hi”, but receive no response in return.
Anything related to my beloved land. Its hostile takeover (by me) later in the future, the people who live here, et cetera.
